So that more people can find us, knit with us, and tell us where they would like us to knit, I have made little labels for our items.

Sloan Kettering’s Knitting Circle has compiled all the scarves and hats (including a bunch our group has made) and delivered them to a Shelter int he Bronx on Tuesday, Nov 23, 2010.
There were 150 items total and the shelter had around 80 people including families with children. We are so happy that they will be kept warm this winter with all the items we have made.

Need some more help with knitting? There are plenty of websites out there with videos to show you exactly what you should be doing. This knittinghelp.com, is my favorite, it gives you step by step instructions in movie format on how to knit. There is also a Wikipedia like website for knitting. It will answer some of your most dire questions. You can also check out the blogroll on the right for further knitting help and websites.
Our next meeting will be Thursday Dec 16, 2010 at 7:30pm. I will send out an email.

Yup, our new year of knitting begins next week! I’m excited to keep our projects going. Get ready to knit preemie hats and blankets, and lets make some more warm hats and scarves for the NYC homeless shelters (pictures of our donation will be coming soon).
We have a lot of really nice yarn to use this year!
